Game Mechanics
HOW MINES WORKS
Mines is one of Jili’s flagship instant-win titles available across the Nova88 online gaming library. The concept is direct: a 5×5 grid houses hidden gems and concealed explosive mines. Your goal is to click tiles, accumulate multipliers from every revealed gem, and cash out before detonating a mine. The longer you play without hitting a mine, the higher your multiplier climbs — but so does the risk.
Unlike traditional slot games, Mines gives players complete agency over risk and reward. You set the number of mines before each round, directly controlling the volatility and payout potential. This dynamic makes Mines one of the most skill-adjacent experiences available within Nova88’s fast games instant-win collection.
Choose your stake amount and define how many mines are hidden on the grid. Fewer mines mean safer play with lower multipliers; more mines mean higher risk and exponential reward potential.
Begin selecting tiles on the 5×5 board. Each tile either reveals a glowing gem, adding to your multiplier, or triggers a mine that ends your round and forfeits your stake.
Every successfully revealed gem increases your running multiplier. The calculation factors in how many mines are active and how many tiles remain unrevealed — real-time provably fair math.
The power is yours. Cash out at any multiplier before the next click. Secure your winnings and start a fresh round, or continue pressing deeper into the board for bigger payouts.
Why Mines by Jili
BUILT FOR FAST
PLAY
Jili is one of Asia’s most trusted game developers, and Mines stands as a defining showcase of their engineering capability. Unlike many crash-style titles, this game delivers a combination of provably fair randomness, rapid round completion, and a transparent payout model that players can verify independently — all within the Nova88 ecosystem.
Playing on Nova88 means accessing Jili Mines through a licensed, regulated environment with fast deposit and withdrawal processing. As one of Malaysia’s most established online betting platforms, Nova88 provides the reliability and security that serious players require when chasing real-money multipliers in high-frequency gaming sessions.
Provably Fair Algorithm
Every round uses cryptographic seed verification. Players can independently audit results, confirming that mine placement is entirely random and not influenced by operator intervention. Jili’s provably fair system is one of the most transparent in the Asian market.
Instant Round Resolution
Mines is a true fast game — rounds complete in seconds. This rapid cycle makes it ideal for players who prefer high session frequency and want to maximize the number of opportunities across a single gaming session rather than waiting on extended slot spins or table game hands.
Adjustable Risk Architecture
The mine count slider (1 to 24) gives players direct control over the game’s volatility profile. Conservative players can run 1–3 mines for steady, lower-variance multipliers. High-risk players can push to 20+ mines for enormous theoretical payouts on a single successful grid sweep.
Mobile-Optimised Interface
Jili’s Mines is fully responsive across all devices. Whether accessing Nova88 through the mobile browser or the dedicated app, the tile grid scales precisely, touch interactions are frictionless, and the cash-out function is always prominent during active play.
Fast Payout Processing
Nova88’s payment infrastructure ensures that Mines winnings settle rapidly. Withdrawals process through the platform’s trusted banking partners with minimal delays — critical for players who value quick access to their funds after successful sessions.
Playing Approaches
MINES STRATEGY GUIDE
Because Mines allows players to set their own risk parameters and exit at any point, a deliberate approach significantly shapes your long-term session performance. These three frameworks represent the most common playstyle configurations adopted by experienced players on the Nova88 platform.
LOW MINE COUNT
Setting 1–3 mines keeps the board predominantly safe tiles. The multiplier growth is gradual, but the probability of reaching 5–8 reveals without a detonation is significantly higher. This approach suits players prioritising session duration and consistent small wins.
MID MINE COUNT
The 5–7 mine range is where the majority of competitive Mines players operate. Multipliers build meaningfully from the first few reveals, and the cash-out decision at 4–6 safe tiles represents a genuine risk-reward inflection point that rewards disciplined play.
HIGH MINE COUNT
Setting 10+ mines creates an almost entirely hostile board where each safe reveal carries substantial multiplier weight. A single successful 3–4 tile run at high mine counts can produce multipliers exceeding 20×. Bankroll management is critical in this configuration.
Responsible play is fundamental to any Mines session. Set a session budget before starting, determine a target multiplier for cash-out, and treat each round as independent from the last. No streak influences the provably fair outcome of future rounds. Nova88 provides responsible gaming tools including deposit limits and session time reminders to support healthy play habits.
Multiplier Reference
PAYOUT BREAKDOWN
The following table illustrates approximate multiplier values achievable in Jili Mines at different mine counts and reveal depths. These figures are based on the game’s mathematical formula and represent expected values — actual payouts are calculated in real-time by the provably fair engine during your session on Nova88.
| Mines Set | Tiles Revealed | Approx. Multiplier | Risk Level | Recommended For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Mine | 5 Tiles | 1.30× | Very Low | High-frequency grind sessions |
| 1 Mine | 10 Tiles | 1.73× | Very Low | Bankroll building, beginners |
| 3 Mines | 5 Tiles | 2.40× | Low | Conservative daily play |
| 5 Mines | 5 Tiles | 4.30× | Medium | Balanced risk-reward play |
| 7 Mines | 4 Tiles | 6.50× | Medium-High | Experienced session players |
| 10 Mines | 3 Tiles | 12.00× | High | Short aggressive sessions |
| 15 Mines | 2 Tiles | 24.00× | Very High | High-stakes single bets |
| 20 Mines | 2 Tiles | 58.00× | Extreme | Maximum volatility play |
| 24 Mines | 1 Tile | 24.75× | Maximum | Single-tile all-or-nothing |
Multiplier values increase non-linearly with each additional reveal, which is why experienced players set a target multiplier before the round begins. Knowing your exit point removes emotional decision-making during active play — one of the most common causes of session losses in Mines.
